Had a blast and a lot of fun finally seeing our first studio launch and meeting all the girls that came through to get pierced!
Throughout the first week we had influencers, press and staff in before going live to the public.
It’s been an honour to lead this project from the piercing side but alongside the wonderful Duke of York team, a big thanks to everyone including the wider team from start to finish, conception to launch; I feel incredibly well supported and lucky to work with so many great people! Thank you all!

Monica Vinader was established in 2008, with Monica having the vision to create and design beautiful, fine jewellery; that was both accessible and instantly wearable for modern life.

Double Helix/Upper Lobe
Alin’s double helix/upper lobe piercings – pierced by El Capitan @ Tattoo 13 in Soho.
Double Helix
Laura dropped by Tattoo 13 to add to her piercing collection for which I pierced a double helix either side of an existing helix piercing. The first and third smaller 3mm clear gemstones, were pierced by myself and the contrast looks awesome; alongside the cluster-shell piece Laura was rocking above the lobe!

Helix Ear Wrap
Jannene’s Helix’ Ear Rim-Wrap
The lovely Janene’s ear helix/rim-wrap pierced over the course of around six or seven months @ Shiva. The highest piercing had been there for a long time when Janene decided to start working down to the earlobe. I pierced four, one at a time; between the top one and the two on the lobe. Originally pierced w/1.2mm 8-10mm titanium labret bars; here they have been shortened to a mix of 6-8mm with smaller 2.5mm aqua gemstone heads. Janene has been healing pretty fast but had caught her ear on a bike helmet just before coming in for the refitted shorter bars; where we also stretched her second lobe piercing to accomodate matching 1.2mm jewellery.
