Here’s two customers from last summer in the original shop, left side is an ear lobe piercing whilst on the right is a triple pierced top ear. Great fun, you meet a lot of kool people visiting Greenwich n’ London in general.

Scaffold

Dan's Scaffold

Dan’s Scaffold

Scaffold done w/a 1.6mm x 38mm , I think. The extra length is, as with most piercings; to allow for an initial swelling period. With a scaffold, I usually give at least 2mm either side when measuring up/piercing.

Nape Surface Piercing, a couple of years on…

Here’s a nape surface piercing a couple of years after it was pierced. The customer had recently caught it thus the sore right side, but overall hadn’t had any problems past first six months or so of healing. We put longer PTFE back in due to her catching it, adding white disco balls.

Scaffold Piercing

Scaffold Piercing w/1.6mm

Here’s a scaffold (or industrial) piercing. These are always pierced with extra length to consider the swelling/healing (it’s technically two piercings at once.) I pierce with one needle and follow alongside a blue line, which I mark up before hand. If it was pierced with two needles, that would obviously be crooked, thus stressing the ear. Marking it up, also allows you to consider moving it for placement, although most of the time your ear dictates (by it’s shape) where it will sit most comfortably and best aesthetically. I pierce with 1.6mm x 30-40+mm.

Dermal Anchor / Chest/Collarbone (Customer’s Photo)

Here’s a dermal anchor alongside/under the collarbone, top of the chest. The top is a titanium ball, round not flat like the gem stones. This was a customers photo (Thanks Martha!) for which later, I’ll add a customer photo section when I have more time…

Medusa Piercing

Medusa Piercing

Medusa Piercing

This is a Medusa (philtrum) piercing and is done central just above the lip. Pierced with 1.6mm labret stud/bar, usually around 10/12mm so to allow for initial swelling; as with lip piercing, return in 2-4 weeks for a shorter bar once the swelling has gone.
