Smile

This is a smiley piercing, which is the frenulum within your mouth behind your upper lip. I pierce these with a 1.2mm x 8mm CBB although I can use a bar if you wish to keep it discreet or are worried about your teeth. These look awesome, are real popular and a lot of fun to do. Depends how big your frenulum is in regards to if you can get it done, but it does add a bit of bite to a smile!

Dicey Spiral

Conch w/CBB

Conch w/CBB

Here is a returning customer for a jewellery change following successful healing post-me piercing her. I pierced the conch with a bar but changed it for a 1.6mm CBB w/clear plastic 4mm balls. The conch looks awesome with a CBB and I also have to say that I really like the spiral in the inner pinner above. I’m not sure if she had it stretched as it wasn’t pierced by me, but it looks around 3mm. My conch looks great next to it though and the clear plastic balls off set the spiral in a real nice way.

Healed Diath w/CBB

Here’s a great shot of the left ear with a  healed diath piercing, so we changed it up to make it a casino style CBB…

Various Work pierced by myself: Rook, Tragus, Lobe, Conch & Rim.

Everything here was pierced by myself over the course of a couple of years on this lovely client, including the rook w/1.2mm x 8mm curved bar, tragus w/1.2mm x 8mm labret bar, lobe w/1.2mm x 8mm bar, conch w/1.6mm x 10mm bar and the top ear/rim cartilage w/1.2mm x 8mm bar. If you are new to what I do, like with any business continued and returning custom should speak volumes; it’s also really kool to create an astronomical universe of metal!

Original Shiva Studios

My old office, my old desk…

This piercing studio actually wasn’t the first in the fifteen years Shiva was located on Greenwich Church St. Originally the piercing studio was upstairs, before that was later turned into a tattoo studio and the piercing room was moved downstairs and out back around 2008/2009.

Nape Surface Piercing Flush

Nape Surface Piercing Flush

Here are a couple of surface piercings on the nape of the neck. I always pierce these with 1.6mm PTFE plastic w/titanium balls to allow flexibility and initial comfort for the inevitable swelling. A few weeks after your pierced, maybe a month or so depending on your own healing process; return to the studio and I’ll trim/cut the plastic bar down flush. You can also change the heads or balls, though I recommend a 4/5mm ball minimum for the first few months.
