Eloise’s navel pierced w/1.6mm x 12mm purple anodised titanium curved bar by El Capitan @ Shiva Piercings. We offer a wide range of titanium belly button bars that we pierce with, solid and jeweled. The navel has forever been a popular piercing and Spring is a good time to pierce, as healing usually takes anywhere between three-six months; so with summer coming…
Piercing Portfolio
Septum
I pierced the lovely Athena’s nose a couple years ago, which she had since taken out. She wished to have her septum pierced with the smallest jewellery possible. I usually only go as small as 8mm when piercing (you can turn up a CBB) but since she has a small nose, we used a 1.2mm x 6mm gold titanium CBB. Pleasure to pierce returning clients and find jewellery that fits the individual. Suits her eye make-up!
Nose
Becca’s nose pierced w/titanium cone/mini-spiked head. Nose piercing is also still as popular as ever, I always advise wearing the initial jewellery whilst cleaning twice daily; for around three months post-piercing. Usually within three or four months, if healing well a ring or alternative jewellery can be switched. Sometimes however, a piercing (nose or otherwise) can take up to a year to fully heal… so be patient whilst healing, persistent when cleaning and conscious of whatever future metal you may wish to wear.

Medusa
Double Helix’
Rosie returned for a second top-ear piercing and a jewellery switch up on a healed piercing I did a year ago. A healed helix w/1.2mm x 10mm segment ring and a fresh addition underneath pierced w/1.2mm x 8mm titanium bar. I’ve always thought two up top contrasted nicely, especially when you can change the jewellery for something more you; whatever your taste.

So I stretched my self pierced septum from a 0.8 x 6mm seamless ring to one of our new 1.6mm septum clickers. Mainly for jokes. Also to consider the fact that I mainly pierce septums with 1.2mm CBBs unless a request is made for 1.6mm. As all the new septum clickers that we sell are 1.6mm I thought I’d make the stretch/jump to see how it felt. I usually wear a way more discreeter seamless ring (as there’s enough metal in my nose) and again, the clicker is something I would only fit post healed piercing. Mine was fine doing/stretching it, myself (pain is in the mind) but it was real sore for like two days(ish) after… That blocked up, pseudo-cold feeling. Clickers not quite me but I think this style of jewellery has been one of the main reasons the septum is easily one of the most popular piercings last couple years. I’ll wear it a couple weeks to ‘low the swelling etc. and I’ll admit these do look kool; we sell gem stoned clickers in clear, aqua and fuscia also. £9.99 each or I’ll happily fit one bought elsewhere for the Shiva £3.50 fitting charge.
