Holly’s Horizontal Rook/Cartilage Piercing

Holly came in whilst back in the UK and requested a rook piercing, but rather than pierced vertically, she requested it horizontally. You could call it a top ear piercing as it is basically all cartilage up there, I’d pierce a rook slightly lower and to the right if vertical; but I was more than happy to do so. I pierced Holly w/1.2mm x 8mm titanium labret bar w/3mm clear gem stone head. I’m more than happy to take individual requests and do things that aren’t specifically on the Shiva Piercings pricing list. Always happy to talk piercings when I’m in the office…

 Gemma’s Surface Navel

Here’s Gemma’s inverted navel surface piercing (the lower of the two) pierced w/1.6mm x 20ish’mm PTFE plastic to allow for the initial weeks swelling. Was later cut down flusher, after healing w/ 1.6mm threaded 4mm balls. The traditional belly button piercing, was not pierced by me. A traditional navel piercing is one of the safest piercings regarding catching it and with regards to healing. Like all surface and microdermal piercings, extra care is required with what will usually be a longer healing process.

This was an interesting request. After Dolores’ had a navel piercing reject several times over the years, she decided she wanted something slightly unusual. Thus twin micro dermal anchors North and South of the belly button w/iridescent 5mm gem stone heads.

Bill’s a returning customer and as shown in an earlier post, I’ve pierced a fair bit of Bill w/blackline titanium. Erl, Cheeks, Angelbites, original Snakebites before stretching, Medusa before stretching and here we have added two ‘lip piercings’ the second and sixth from left to right. Bill heals real well and am honoured to add to his collection.

Bill is another returning customer who I always enjoy piercing. Everything here was pierced by me at various points over the years w/1.6mm blackline titanium. In this photo the cheeks are still 1.6mm w/6mm balls, whilst the angelbites (double monroe) are 1.6mm w/5mm balls. The medusa (in the middle, under the septum) has been stretched to an 8mm plug whilst the snakebites (double lip piercings) have been stretched here to 12mm plugs. Hardcore.

The Ashley Piercing ~ Inverse Vertical Lip.

The Ashley/Ashleigh piercing is an inverse vertical lip. I’ve pierced countless lips and several vertical lips, but this was my first and only request for the Ashley. The needle goes through your actual lip and with this we used PTFE plastic due to heavy swelling for the first few days. Once it settled down I think Lisa later changed it for a metal bar. It looks killer and I imagine pretty painful. Very proud of this piece.

Here’s some old custom work, a triple pierced navel though only the lower two were pierced by me. This is custom reverse surface navel piercings, pierced at the same time with 1.2mm PTFE plastic.

The PTFE was cut down flush several weeks/months after healing. The swelling with surface piercings can be common and thus PTFE is better due to its flexibility.
