Here’s a dermal anchor from 2012 set on the middle finger. No need to put a ring on it… with these, I do strongly suggest considering (with any dermal or surface piercing) the idea of placement and long term healing/rejecting.

The third mark, the blue dot; is with the idea to do a third dermal underneath to complete a trio of piercings. Note there’s actually two blue dots but you get the idea. Distances, comfort, longevity.

This is 2011 I think… and of all the places to anchor a dermal; this is definitely one of the most aesthetically pleasing and heals pretty well so I really like doing them. Obviously with dermals and piercings in general; try not to catch them!

Dermal Anchors are essentially like surface piercings, though they go in and under the skin. After this customer’s navel piercing had rejected, she decided on a couple of dermals.
